Comrades, please don't be slackers.
If you start building a multi-store platform in January — don't forget about it a month later. And don't forget to remind those dumbass neural nets writing it for you that you're building a multi-store. Because if you forget — six months later, when you finally need the multi-store and your main shop is already in Google's top 3, you'll be absolutely wrecked trying to migrate the whole platform to multi-store. Just like I am right now. The task breaks down into so many tiny steps — all to avoid breaking SEO — that your fingers will fall off from copying between windows and drafting safe migration plans. It took me almost 2 weeks. Luckily I found a ready-made skill that sends the plan from Claude Code to codex for review — it automatically runs 5-6 iterations and spits out a more or less decent plan. But when you have over 300 migration steps — it's still too much. That's the price you pay for mistakes. If I hadn't made them from the very start and had remembered I was building a multi-store — things would be a lot easier right now.
