I have a ritual: Claude writes the plan, Codex reviews it.

Usually 4–10 iterations. Codex nitpicks, Claude rewrites, I watch this ping-pong and pay for tokens. Today the new Fable 5 wrote the plan. Codex on the first pass: minor edits, approved, send it to implementation. First time ever. One round. Token usage is a whole other story — it eats like crazy. But ten review iterations cost more than one good plan. I'll track it over time and report back.
